This privacy policy applies to Easy Video Downloader (RVD) (package com.rachit.rvd.play), published by Porky Byte. Privacy questions can be sent to porkybyte@gmail.com.
RVD is a video-download and media-management utility. RVD does not operate a user account system or an RVD-owned backend server for processing download links. Links that you paste or share are primarily processed on your device, and the device connects directly to the website or service represented by the link in order to resolve and download media.
While RVD is in the foreground, the app may read clipboard content to detect a web link and place it in the URL field. Clipboard text is not intentionally sent anywhere merely because it was read. If you choose to use a detected link, the link is processed for the requested download.
To resolve and download media, RVD may connect directly from your device to the website, content-delivery network, or service associated with the link you provided. Those third parties receive network information normally required for an internet connection, such as your IP address, and their own privacy policies and terms may apply.
For X/Twitter links only, when normal media extraction fails, RVD may send the post URL or status information to the external FxTwitter service in order to resolve downloadable media. FxTwitter is an independent third-party service and is not operated by RVD.
Completed video files are saved through Android MediaStore under Movies/RVD. RVD stores recent download history, media URIs, status, and app preferences locally on your device so that the media library and app settings can work. RVD does not intentionally upload this local history to an RVD cloud service.
RVD disables Android cloud backup and excludes RVD app data from Android backup/device-transfer extraction rules in the current build. Downloaded media stored by Android MediaStore may still be managed by Android, device manufacturers, gallery applications, backup products, or other services outside RVD's control.
RVD integrates Google Mobile Ads and the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). These Google SDKs are used to manage advertising, consent, privacy choices, measurement, and fraud/abuse prevention. Development, emulator, and Closed Test builds currently use Google demo test ads.
According to Google's Mobile Ads SDK data-disclosure documentation, the SDK may automatically collect and share information including IP address (which may be used to estimate approximate location), user product interactions, diagnostic information, and device/account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID or app set ID where applicable. Google states this data is protected in transit using TLS. Google's own privacy terms and policies apply to Google's processing.
Where required, RVD uses UMP to request updated consent information and present privacy choices before requesting ads. A privacy-options entry point is shown when UMP reports that it is required.
The current RVD configuration does not use app-open, interstitial, rewarded, native, or player-overlay ads. The local video player is ad-free in this version.
RVD requests internet access, foreground-service permissions for user-initiated downloads, and notification permission where required by Android. The Play Store build does not request broad photo/video read access or broad external-storage access.
RVD has no user account to delete. RVD's local history and preferences remain on the device until they are changed, removed through app functionality where available, cleared through Android settings, or the app is uninstalled. Downloaded videos remain in Android MediaStore until you delete them using RVD, Android/Gallery tools, or another authorized media-management app. Data processed independently by Google, FxTwitter, or destination websites is governed by those third parties' retention and deletion practices.
RVD is not designed as a child-directed service. If the app's target-audience selection changes to include children, the advertising and privacy configuration must be reviewed and updated before that release.
RVD uses normal HTTPS/TLS connections where supported by the destination service and its integrated SDKs. No internet-connected application can guarantee absolute security, but RVD is designed to minimize unnecessary permissions and keep RVD-specific history/preferences local to the device.
This policy will be updated before a release adds material new data practices, such as production advertising changes, analytics, accounts, cloud services, or other collection or sharing not described here. The “Last updated” date will be revised when the policy changes.
